The Song about God’s Throne Room

Kim Walker-Smith, Jesus Culture Worship Leader, sung a song entitled Throne Room.

Kim described the song as follows:

“This song is all about getting into the presence of God. We all have Jesus inside of us, but there’s something about the posture of our hearts and our willingness to really lay down all the distractions and the concerns and stress and everything else and shift our perspective and mindset to be on him and to lift our eyes to Him. No matter what’s going on, what I’m facing, there is one place – it’s Him and His presence – where I can get peace, where I can get answers, where I can get everything I need. It’s also the place where we should be visiting and checking in on a regular basis. A relationship with God includes consistency and quality time and complete access to Him and His presence any time of day at any moment no matter where I am. All I have to do is shift my perspective and put my attention on Him.”

The lyrics are as follows:

Dream after dream, You are Speaking to me, breathing Word after word of kingdom come Here at Your feet, I can See the unseen, truly One look at You and I’m undone I run to the throne room I run to the throne room And I fall on my face With angels and saints And all I can say is Holy, holy, holy are You, God My heart can’t contain The weight of Your name And all I can say is Holy, holy, holy are You Grace upon grace, all my Fear falls away, only Your perfect love for me remains Oh, time after time You stay Close by my side, burning Fire inside I can’t contain I run to the throne room Before You, the only One I run to the throne room Before You, I’m overcome I run to the throne room
